Dec 30th 2007 Congrats to Chuck Liddell!

Great fight tonight between Chuck Liddell and Wanderlei Silva (part of UFC 79). I am a fan of both and it was a great, great fight. I thought Chuck was going to knock him out in the second, but you have to give Silva credit for having a strong chin. Every time Chuck connected, Wandy was right there to counter. Anyway, great fight!

Dec 29th 2007 Free Movie!

Sometimes I Wonder. This is my first movie.  I am pretty proud of it. If you like men’s figure skating or Scott Baio, I wouldn’t recommend this one. If you have 23 seconds to burn, give it a click. No joke, I don’t have an art or film background.

Dec 29th 2007 New Halo 3 Maps

HaloEliteMeIf you haven’t already, go and download the new Halo 3 Heroic map pack. I’m a sucker for any and all things Halo related (with the exception of the paperback novels -  a man’s gotta set limits). I only wish you could purchase them on a disc, similar to the way the Halo 2 maps were released (Yes, I know you could download these as well). I just envision me getting the red ring of death and Microsoft screwing me out of my downloads.

Anyway, I already really like Standoff since after only a few plays I think I know where most of the power weapons are. Rat’s Nest is a mess to me at this point as I have only played it a couple of times, and Foundry, imho, sucks. My favorite maps are still Epitaph, High Ground and Last Resort

P.S. Yes, that’s my character on Halo 3. Quite handsome eh?

Dec 29th 2007 Subway Emergency Codes

SubwayCarEver wonder what the different subway emergency codes were? Oh you didn’t. Well, here they are anyway:

12-1  Emergency - Clear the Air

12-2  Fire or Smoke on the Track

12-3 Flood or Serious Water Condition

12-4 Unused to Avoid Confusion with 10-4

12-5 Stalled Train

12-6 Derailment

12-7 Request for Assistance

12-8 Armed Passenger

12-9 Passenger Under Train (Are they still a passenger at this point?)

12-10 Unauthorized Person on Track

12-11 Serious Vandalism

12-12 Disorderly Passenger This information, with the exception of the 12-4 code above, was found in Kate Ascher’s awesome book “The Works: Anatomy of a City“. If you ever wanted to know about the infrastructure that supports New York City, this book is for you. The colorful illustrations and maps included within the book are also excellent.
